Mattresses are genuinely difficult to get rid of legally. They're bulky, they compress and spring back in a compactor, and most municipal bulk programs in the metroplex either exclude them outright or make you schedule weeks ahead.

Twin out of a ground-floor bedroom and a king down a narrow staircase are different jobs.

AN INNERSPRING IS MOSTLY STEEL AND FOAM

A conventional mattress is roughly three-quarters recoverable material once it's broken down. The barrier has always been that somebody has to do the breaking down.

Steel recovery
Innerspring coils and frame steel go to a metals recycler — the heaviest and most valuable part of the unit.
Foam and fiber
Padding and foam get processed into carpet underlay and industrial filler where a partner accepts it.
Landfill last
Soiled, infested, or badly degraded mattresses go to disposal directly. Nothing questionable goes into a donation stream.

Can I put a mattress out with my regular trash in DFW?+
Almost nowhere in the metroplex. Most cities either exclude mattresses from bulk pickup entirely or require a scheduled special collection, and several charge per piece. That's the main reason this service exists.
Do you take box springs and bed frames too?+
Yes, in the same trip and as part of the same job. Mention it when you book so the crew plans for the load.
What if the mattress has bed bugs?+
We still take it — just tell us in advance. It gets sealed in plastic at the bedroom door before it moves, which protects your hallway, our truck, and the next customer.
Do you remove mattresses from apartments and upper floors?+
Routinely, with no stair fee. Kings and Cal kings down a tight staircase take two people and a plan, which is what shows up.
Can you recycle my mattress instead of dumping it?+
Where the condition allows. Innerspring mattresses break down into steel, foam, and fiber. Soiled or infested units go straight to disposal for obvious reasons.
How quickly can you pick up a mattress?+
Usually same-day or next-morning. It's one of the fastest jobs on our board and easy to add to an existing route.
