APPLIANCE REMOVAL & RECYCLING

The fridge that's been humming in the garage since the new one arrived. The washer that finally quit. Heavy, awkward, full of metal and refrigerant — and the one thing the city absolutely will not pick up.

THE HEAVY STUFF NOBODY ELSE WILL TAKE

Appliances are a problem specifically because of what's inside them. Refrigerators and freezers contain refrigerant that has to be recovered by someone certified to do it — which is why curbside won't touch them and why most transfer stations charge a separate fee per unit.

We handle that end of it. Units come out on a dolly with the floor protected, refrigerant-bearing appliances go to a certified recovery facility, and the steel shell gets recycled rather than buried.

When people call us

WHY THE OLD ONE IS STILL SITTING THERE

NEW APPLIANCE COMING
Delivery won't haul it
Most retailers only take the old unit if it's disconnected and accessible, and plenty just decline. We clear the space beforehand.
GARAGE BEER FRIDGE
Running up the electric bill
A twenty-year-old second fridge is the most expensive thing in most garages. We take it and recycle the metal.
IT DIED MID-CYCLE
Full of water and laundry
We'll drain what we can and haul it. No judgment about how long it's been sitting there.
KITCHEN REMODEL
Everything out at once
Fridge, range, dishwasher, hood, and the old cabinets if you want them gone in the same trip.
RENTAL TURNOVER
Tenant left the units
Property managers use us on turnovers because we can be there the same week and document it.
ESTATE OR DOWNSIZING
A whole kitchen's worth
Full sets get quoted as one job rather than piece by piece.
How it works

OUT OF THE HOUSE WITHOUT A SCRATCH

An appliance dolly, a set of straps, and floor protection handle almost everything. What we can't do is cut a live gas line or a hardwired circuit — that part needs a licensed trade first.

HOW WE PRICE →
01
Tell us the unit and where it sits
Kitchen, garage, second floor, or a basement stairwell — that determines the crew and the gear.
02
Disconnect check
We unhook standard washer hoses and dryer vents. Gas, hardwired, or hard-plumbed units need a plumber or electrician to cap them first.
03
Dollied out on protected floors
Straps, padding, and a plan for every doorway and threshold between the unit and the truck.
04
Recovered and recycled
Refrigerant goes to a certified recovery facility. Steel goes to a scrap yard. Working units get donated.
Where it goes

ALMOST ALL OF AN APPLIANCE IS RECOVERABLE

An old washer is mostly steel, and steel is infinitely recyclable. The only reason appliances end up buried is that hauling them properly takes an extra stop.

Certified refrigerant recovery
Fridges, freezers, window units, and dehumidifiers are processed to EPA standards before the shell is scrapped.
Scrap metal recycling
Steel, copper, and aluminum from every unit go to a metals recycler rather than a landfill.
Donation for working units
Appliances that still run and are under about ten years old go to ReStores and family-services partners.
Appliance Removal questions

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Do you take refrigerators with the refrigerant still in them?+
Yes. That's exactly why people call us instead of putting it on the curb. It goes to a certified recovery facility — we don't vent it, ever.
Can you disconnect my washer and dryer?+
Standard water hoses and dryer vents, yes. Gas dryers, hardwired ranges, and hard-plumbed water heaters need a licensed plumber or electrician to cap the line before we can move the unit.
Will you remove an appliance from a second floor or basement?+
Yes, and there's no stair charge. Tell us where it is when you book so the right crew and gear show up.
Do you remove old water heaters?+
We do, once the gas or electrical supply is capped and the tank is drained. If it's still hooked up, get a plumber to disconnect it and we'll haul it the same week.
What if my appliance still works?+
Even better. Working units under roughly ten years old go to a donation partner instead of a scrap yard, and we can get you a receipt.
Is appliance pickup available same-day in DFW?+
Frequently. Single-appliance jobs slot into an existing route easily — call in the morning and we'll tell you what's open that afternoon.
