Electronics carry lead, mercury, and flame retardants, which is why Texas restricts how they're disposed of and why most municipal programs route them separately. Old CRT televisions are the worst offender and the hardest thing on this list to get rid of on your own.

A photo of the stack in the corner is enough. TVs, tell us roughly the screen size and whether it's a tube.

Data-bearing devices flagged
Anything with a drive gets pointed out before it goes in the truck. Pull it, wipe it, or let the processor destroy it — your call.

Carried out, no counter charge
Screens over a certain size get charged per unit at most drop-off sites. Ours is priced as part of the load.

Delivered to a certified processor
Materials get separated properly rather than shredded into a mixed stream. Documentation available on request.

A dead monitor is a pile of glass, copper, aluminum, and board-level precious metal. None of it belongs in the ground and most of it has real recovery value.

Copper, aluminum, and steel from chassis, cables, and exercise equipment go to a metals recycler.
Reuse where it makes sense

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Do you take old tube TVs and CRT monitors?+
Yes. They're the reason most people call. CRTs contain leaded glass, weigh far more than they look, and are refused by nearly every curbside and drop-off program in the metroplex.
What happens to the data on my computer?+
We flag anything with a hard drive before it leaves your property. You can pull the drive yourself, have us note it for certified destruction at the processor, or handle it however your IT policy requires. For anything sensitive, pulling the drive first is always the safest answer.
Can you pick up electronics from a business?+
Regularly, including full office decommissions. We schedule after hours or on weekends, and we can provide an asset list and disposal documentation for your records.
Is there a fee per TV like at the recycling center?+
No per-unit counter charge. Screens are priced as part of the load, which is usually the difference for anyone getting rid of more than one.
Do you take exercise equipment?+
Treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes, yes. They're motorized, heavy, and awkward on stairs — exactly the kind of thing worth not doing yourself.
What electronics can't you take?+
Loose lithium batteries outside a device, and anything industrial with chemical or radiological components. Devices with batteries installed are fine.
