HOT TUB & SPA REMOVAL

It hasn't been heated in years, it's full of rainwater, and it weighs more than a car. There's no version of this where you rent a trailer and handle it yourself — so we cut it down and carry it out in pieces.

IT COMES APART IN THE BACK YARD

A hot tub is an acrylic shell over a wood or composite frame, wrapped in a cabinet, with a pump bay, heater, and a few hundred pounds of insulating foam. Whole, it doesn't fit anywhere. Cut down, it fits through a gate.

The crew drains it, kills the power connection at the disconnect, cuts the shell into manageable sections, and carries every piece out — cabinet panels, frame, pumps, cover, and the cover lifter. What's left is a bare pad.

When people call us

WHY IT'S STILL BACK THERE

IT DIED YEARS AGO
Nobody wants to deal with it
Dead tubs sit for a long time because every option looks like a project. It's a half-day job for us.
SELLING THE HOUSE
It reads as a liability
Buyers see a non-working spa as a problem to inherit. Removing it before listing is nearly always the right call.
REPLACING IT
New one arrives next week
We clear the pad so the delivery crew has somewhere to put the new unit.
STORM OR TREE DAMAGE
Cracked shell, done
Once the acrylic is cracked it's finished. We handle the debris and the sharp edges.
NEW HOUSE, OLD TUB
Inherited with the property
You bought a house that came with somebody else's spa. Common, and easy to solve.
RECLAIMING THE PATIO
You want the space back
A tub footprint is a big chunk of most back yards. It goes back to being usable in an afternoon.
How it works

DRAINED, DE-POWERED, CUT, CARRIED

The order matters. Nothing gets cut while there's water or power in it, and nothing gets dragged across your grass or your decking on the way out.

HOW WE PRICE →
01
Photos of the tub and the gate
Gate width is the one measurement that changes the plan. A tape measure and two photos is all we need.
02
Drained and disconnected
We pump it out to a drain or a low spot. Power gets cut at the disconnect — a hardwired panel connection needs an electrician first.
03
Cut down in place
Shell and frame get sectioned into pieces two people can carry, right there on the pad.
04
Carried out and swept
Every panel, pump, and screw leaves. The pad gets swept and we check the lawn for hardware.
Where it goes

MOSTLY METAL, WOOD, AND ACRYLIC

There's more recoverable material in a hot tub than most people assume, and the heavy parts are the recyclable ones.

Scrap metal recovery
Pumps, motors, heaters, frames, and the copper in the wiring all go to a metals recycler.
Wood and composite
Untreated frame lumber and cabinet material get chipped where a facility accepts it.
Landfill last
Cracked acrylic, insulating foam, and torn covers. Real, but a smaller share of the unit than you would guess.
Hot Tub Removal questions

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Do I have to drain the hot tub before you arrive?+
It speeds things up, but no. Tell us it's full when you book and we'll bring a pump and empty it to a drain or a low point in the yard.
Will it fit through my side gate?+
A standard 36-inch gate is plenty, because the tub doesn't leave whole — it gets cut into sections in your back yard. Narrower access just means smaller sections and a bit more time.
Do you disconnect the electrical?+
We can pull it at an existing disconnect box. If the tub is hardwired straight into a panel with no disconnect, a licensed electrician needs to cut it first — then we handle everything else.
Will you remove the concrete pad underneath?+
No. Slab breaking is jackhammer work and a different trade. We take the structure down to the pad and leave it swept clean.
Can you take a swim spa?+
Yes. Swim spas are bigger and take longer, but the approach is identical — drain, section, carry out.
How long does hot tub removal take?+
Most standard tubs are two to four hours start to finish. Swim spas and tight-access jobs can run most of a day.
