THE FOOTINGS ARE THE ACTUAL JOB

Pulling fence panels is easy. What slows everyone down is the posts — most are set in a bell of concrete a couple of feet down, and a new installer either charges to deal with them or sets the new posts awkwardly around them.

We pull the footings. Panels, rails, posts, concrete, and gate hardware all leave, and the line gets raked so the next crew can string a string line and start clean.

Fence tear-out is fast if it's done in the right order and slow if it isn't. We work panel by panel down the run so your yard is never fully open to the street or the neighbors longer than it has to be.

Measure the run and send photos
Linear feet plus fence type is enough for a quote. A photo of a typical post base helps us judge the footings.

Panels and rails first
Sections come off the posts and load immediately rather than stacking in the yard.

Posts and concrete pulled
Footings come out whole where the soil allows. Where they don't, posts get cut below grade so nothing snags a mower.

Line raked and cleared
Nails, staples, and broken pickets get picked up. The line is ready for the next crew or for seed.
Where it goes

CEDAR, STEEL, AND CONCRETE

A fence is three materials, and two of them recycle cleanly. Only weathered treated wood tends to end up at disposal.

Metal recycling
Chain link fabric, posts, top rail, iron panels, and gate hardware all go to a scrap yard.
Wood recovery
Sound cedar and untreated lumber get chipped or passed on for reuse where a facility accepts it.
Concrete & landfill
Footings go to a concrete recycler when clean. Rotten treated pickets go to disposal.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Do you pull the concrete footings out too?+
Yes, and it's the part that matters most. Footings come out whole where the soil cooperates; where they don't, the post gets cut well below grade so nothing catches a mower blade.
Can you coordinate with my fence installer?+
We do it constantly. Give us their start date and we'll clear the line the day before, or the morning of if that's what they prefer.
Do you remove chain link and iron fencing?+
All of it — chain link, wrought iron, aluminum, vinyl, and wood. Metal fencing actually recycles better than anything else on the list.
How is fence removal priced?+
By linear feet, fence type, and how the posts are set. Concrete-set posts take longer than dirt-set ones, and we'll tell you which you have when we look at the photos.
What if only part of my fence needs to go?+
Partial runs are fine. We'll cut cleanly at the section line and leave the remaining fence stable and standing.
Will you handle a shared fence with my neighbor?+
We'll remove whatever you have the right to remove. Sorting out a shared property line is a conversation to have with the neighbor before we show up.
